Nigeria -has 37.200 million barrels of petroleum reserves-¬ is the leading producer of high-quality oil of the African continent producing three million barrels per day, of which two million are approximately destined for export. Oil represents 95% of the country's exports and 80% of their income. It is estimated that near 150 000 barrels of oil are looted in Nigeria every day in order to feed the illicit traffic of Togo and Benin.

Приют для бездомных животных — это не только пушистые кошечки и собачки со сложными, а порой шокирующими судьбами и грустными глазами, — это в первую очередь огромный труд сотрудников, вложенный в поддержание и развитие приюта. Много тяжёлой физической работы, постоянный уход, дрессировка и восстановление психики животных, поиск финансирования и общение с общественными организациями – все это ежедневный быт и оборотная сторона жизни приюта, обычно скрытая от обывателей. В России более 150 приютов для животных, подавляющее большинство из них остаётся частными, поддерживаемыми на средства волонтеров и меценатов. В Самаре в данный момент всего 4 приюта и в каждом более 100 животных, и из года в год число обитателей растет. Вокруг приютов всегда ходит много слухов и домыслов. Самый популярный из них на тему практики усыпления животных, если их не удаётся пристроить в семью. Подкрепляется этот миф зарубежными художественными или документальными фильмами где практика усыпления животных достаточно распространена. Но для российских приютов это остаётся страшной байкой. Даже если животное старое и немощное оно будет жить в приюте до своего последнего дня в заботе. Несомненно, это ведет к перенаселению каждого конкретного приюта и вынужденному расширению или ограничению на прием животных. Но и у самых старых жителей есть шанс, что их однажды заберут, однако, по словам самих сотрудников, половина собак, которые у них есть на данный момент, как раз из тех, которые маловероятно найдут нового хозяина. Большинство повседневных забот лежит на Андрее – он единственный сотрудник мужчина в этом приюте. Андрей отслужил армии в кинологическом подразделении. Вернувшись на гражданку несколько лет пробовал себя в роли офисного планктона в итоге вернулся к любимому делу поближе к животным. Это не просто работа –это образ жизни. Много тяжелого физического труда — дров наколоть, траву выполоть, вольеры убрать. Самое нелюбимое занятие- уборка домика котов, оно и самое долгое. За сутки весь наполнитель кошачьих туалетов стараниями питомцев оказывается разнесенным везде, где можно дотянуться. В приюте всегда обязательно находится кто-то из сотрудников, ночуют по очереди. Так же много времени и сил уходит на активность в социальных сетях, организацию различных мероприятий и работу с документами. Приготовить еды на всю ватагу- отдельная песня. Летом кормят один раз, зимой два. Утром ставят закипать два чана каши по 80 литров и до 4-5 часов она варится. А на газе или электричестве такие объёмы не закипают, приходится на живом огне готовить. Когда начинают разносить пищу драк за еду не бывает, все спокойно ждут, когда в их вольер принесут свою порцию. Хорошее воспитание животных- залог того, что их возьмут потом в дом. Животные, попадающие в приют, бывают и дикие, прожившие всю жизнь на улице, и выброшенные домашние любимцы, и породистые из питомников по разведению. Сотрудники стараются, чтобы каждое животное было адаптировано к человеку и нормально шло на контакт. Во всех приютах идет обязательное ветеринарное сопровождение. Всех животных кастрируют или стерилизуют, делают необходимые прививки и при необходимости пролечивают от болезней, с которыми они попадают в приют. Очень важный момент- социализация животных. Часто, после перенесённого времени жизни на улице, животные могут быть агрессивны к человеку или наоборот быть напуганными и совершенно не идти на контакт. Постоянное общение и забота сотрудников и волонтеров- залог успешной адаптации животных к людям и качественной дрессировки. Некоторые собаки начинают проявлять таланты в дрессуре, и тогда Андрей их учит по кинологической программе ОКД (Общего Курса Дрессировки). Но, к сожалению, животные без родословной в России не имеют права получить официально паспорт ОКД и быть допущенными к испытаниям. Отдавая животных в семью, сотрудники стараются следить за тем, чтобы это были порядочные люди. Перед тем как вам отдадут животное, с вами обязательно будут общаться узнавать условия и опыт общения с животными, в большинстве случаев предложат прийти несколько раз навестить питомца, пообщаться с ним, а потом только брать. Но несмотря все меры, животных достаточно часто возвращают обратно в приют. То жена сказала: или я, или собака, то оказалось, что котик и мебель может драть. Тут проблема то не в питомцах, а в отношении. Беря животное в дом нужно всегда осознанно взвесить все аспекты этого мероприятия, и уже тогда решаться, а не потакая сиюминутным желаниям хватать, а потом возвращать. Животные очень тяжело переживают это, они уже привыкают к дому, начинают воспринимать нового хозяина, а их вышвыривают обратно. После подобного весь процесс социализации и восстановления животного нужно начинать с начала. В приюте, когда вы забираете животное, вас попросят заполнить бумаги, в которых будут все ваши контактные данные. Сотрудники будут периодически звонить, возможно заезжать, проверять как животное. К сожалению, в практике приюта были печальные случаи, когда звонили новоиспечённым хозяевам, узнавали, как поживает животное, в ответ слышали, что все хорошо, потом, что они не в городе и собака у друзей и так долгое время, а потом знакомые сотрудников увидели на улицу ту самую собаку. Вот так и получается, что они опять оказываются выброшенными. В этом приюте никто не жалуется, стараются держаться. Говорят, раньше конечно было тяжелее – сейчас уже и система отлаженная, а много волонтеров помогают во всем. Часто люди берут под свой патронат конкретных животных. Помощь идет со всех фронтов, помогают и финансово и кормами, и необходимые вещи покупают. Периодически приезжают волонтеры и помогают с повседневными делами. Есть и те, кто постоянно приходит уже несколько лет и помогает, по несколько раз в неделю. Вообще вся деятельность приюта возможно только благодаря волонтерской и спонсорской помощи, государственное финансирование до приюта не доходит, за редким исключением. Главный посыл, который можно услышать от всех, кто связан с работой приютов- хорошенько подумайте перед тем как брать животное и будьте ответственны, чтобы потом они не пополняли ораву бездомных уличных животных.

Because of sheer nonsense. Blamed for ignorance, for having disabilities, for superstition, or simply revenge... They hunt them into their houses, bloodlust, wishing their death, in the middle of the savannah. Many of them got killed by the hand of their family, others commit suicide before being protagonists of an evil orgy of suffering and blood. The luckiest manage to escape from the social justice and its bleak future. A sneak... stealth... hopeless, destroyed and lonely course. And they come this far, to the shelter of the witches. Overcrowded. Sleeping and eating -thanks to the charity of some kind heart- on the floor. With their few belongings piled at their feet. Ill, old, forgotten, illiterate, exiled, course... alone. Another hell for women. Women always, always cursed... always alone.

SPACEBOY This is not a story about a disease. This is a story about a big dream of a small boy. Despite of a serious disease this boy dreams of boundless space. Kirill was born in 2008. He is incurably ill from his birth. Among his diagnosises are lymphangioma of face, neck and mediastinum, Gorner’s syndrome, neuropathy of the facial nerve. A huge inoperable  tumor not only changed boy’s appearance greatly but also caused some serious problems with breathing and eating. Kirill cant speak and eat, he constantly needs  his relatives supervision and control. He may die if in one moment there would be no one around  to help him. Although it is impossible to cure Kirill his parents didn’t refuse of him and didn’t receive to leave him in a orphanage. Kirill lives together with his parents and granny in a room of a communal flat in a suburb of Moscow. School teachers and doctors visit him at home. Kirill very seldom leaves his room. But still he is a very curious boy. His main interest is space. He looks at the world from a window of his room but dreams of endless galaxies, starry sky and the distant unknown planets and worlds.

Quarries men is a portfolio about white limestone quarries craft in Minya, Egypt and how the workers can make and shape these Stone from the white mountain. There are four phases. The first is the equalization of mountain with big winches and spikes. The second phase is the shaping, there's a machine called El fasalah which cut and partition the mountain to stone blocks to 13x26 cm. The third phase is the extracting, there's a machine called El hashasha which extract the final result of the stones as a free blocks that ready to use. The fourth and final one is the filling, after that the workers are filling it into the vehicles to be ready for trading in the market.

The center takes in around 70 children, mostly in neglect, with severe and profound physical or intellectual disabilities and provides specialized and personalized care to try to improve their quality of life. Children with disabilities (especially girls) run a high risk of being physical, emotional and sexual abused as well as being abandoned by their families. There is a perception by their communities that the disabilities are due to a divine punishment, the result of the sins committed by the parents, of an act of the devil, or that the child is a sorcerer. Minors who suffer from a disability are considered supernatural, strangers or demons. In some areas of the country, children with cerebral palsy are known as snakes, as they lie on the ground. These little ones are drowned in the river in rituals for the serpent to leave. Social welfare indicators place Togo at the bottom of the planet's human development index (HDI).
